At Hotel Varmahlíð, we know that the way to a person's heart is through
their stomach. Therefore, we concentrate on providing excellent food and
first-rate service in our restaurant. The spotlight is on local food,
which means we cooperate with numerous others who provide us with the
best ingredients which the Skagafjörður region has to offer.
The hotel restaurant is pleasant and well-lit. The dining room, which
was recently renovated and seats around 80 people, is very attractive,
often with photography or other artworks exhibited on the walls.
The Hotel Varmahlíð restaurant is open daily from 15 May to 15
September, offering soup and bread, a salad buffet and other light meals
at lunchtime. Enticing à la carte offerings appear on the evening menu,
with top-notch dishes from the Skagafjörður Food Chest. At other times
of the day, the restaurant invites you to drop by, have a wonderful cup
of Lavazza coffee and find out what is available to go with it.
During the winter season, restaurant services must be booked in advance.
On the other hand, in winter we do not follow any fixed menu, but
instead strive to our utmost to fulfil the wishes of our guests.
Our Wild Game Feasts, Horse Feasts and Christmas Buffets are examples of
traditional Icelandic events that are very popular at Hotel Varmahlíð.
